About Moores Cancer Center
Moores Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the San Diego region. Such centers are prominent among the leading institutions in the nation that are dedicated to scientific innovation and clinical excellence, and studies show that outcomes are better at NCI-designated centers.

Construction Alert
Ongoing construction for new projects on the La Jolla medical campus can affect travel time. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to arrive early for your appointment:
- Starting Sept 11: Please follow detour signs on Genesee Avenue and Regents Road to avoid possible traffic delays at the Campus Point Drive/Medical Center Drive intersection.
- Valet parking at the main entrance (Thornton Pavilion): Please prepare for possible delays while traveling on Campus Point Drive for valet pickup and drop-off.
- Self-parking locations: You can park in lot P760 or at the Athena Parking Structure.
Other Resources
Parking
Options include self-parking, valet parking and extended parking in parking structures or lots. We encourage valet parking at our four drop-off points. It is a convenient and inexpensive way to make it to your appointment on time. The cost is the same as self-parking.
